This morning I woke up feeling pretty groggy. I slept on a floor and couch last night. A love seat to be more precise. Anyways, I went into my room to get dressed, grabbed my jeans and my belt and the damn things were too loose. I got to put another hole in my belt today. I’m going to have to get a new one soon. I also weighed in this morning at the lowest “rising” weight of the last two years. P90x is one of the best things to have happened to me. The only bad thing about this day so far is that PAX is going on and I had my heart set on going this year. I guess I’ll try for PAX East this Spring.

The thing about fitness and wealth is that neither one can be obtained through a get-rich-quick scheme. As with interest and dividends working out pays off well when there is an increasing supply of it. I know this is a pretty cliche fitness thing to write about but I couldn’t help but think of this today. I started working out regularly with P90x 2 months ago and it was such a rough start. I had help though, a friend of mine came for the first two months pretty regularly. Now, on day 70 I’ve got more energy then I know what to do with. I wake up at 6:30 every morning whether I want to or not. I can’t think of doing anything else in the morning until I workout. Lately I have been doing a lot of cardio, a la running. When I started working out I was doing three miles with like three walking breaks. Now I’m doing four miles with no breaks and I got one awesome 11 mile run in this summer too. It just keeps building! I’ll admit I started taking a new thermogenic supplement last week and it has also been giving me more energy as well but a pill won’t make the difference if you haven’t been actively working out. So far I’ve lost 18 pounds and 2 inches off my waist since starting my workout routines. I have an awesome schedule for school all lined up and even into the winter I will be able to have a constant daily workout. I will be writing about schedule management later on when I’ve actually hashed out some more ideas.

Good morning internet!
Yesterday was Day 24 and I dropped down past my 250 lb plateau. Actually was at 248.4! I woke up and after breakfast I was 250.4 and that doesn’t bother me because I have cardio today before work where I’ll be running around a bit as well. My partner Jordan and I have been pretty sporadic but I haven’t missed a day yet and I’m getting more motivated now with the weight loss. Now you’ll have to excuse this short post as I’m prepping for a trade.

At 7:30 this morning I’ve started what will hopefully be my first complete round of P90x. This time I’m doing something different though. I’ve gotten a friend, Jordan, to do it with me, and according to a text I just got from him we have a third member of the team showing up tomorrow. I’m keeping track of statistics for myself and Jordan. They’ll mainly be body weight, body fat %, and waist line. I’ll be taking pictures everyday to document my body’s change but Jordan will only be doing it for the usual 30,60, and 90 day marks. He has to work in the mornings so he has take off as soon as possible. Today was an ass kicker for both of us. We’re pumped for tomorrow though and Plyometrics is my favorite workout. I start working again tomorrow night so I guess I’ll see how I feel trying to fit that into my schedule.

I had a pretty good day today. I got up, lost a little money on AAPL and went to meet up with Jordan down at Stashu’s. Jordan and I grew up together and were on the wrestling team in high school. We’ve decided we’re going to do P90x together at my house every morning. This is going to be my first time doing P90x with another person. Hopefully working out this way will help me keep my motivation up. The most I’ve gotten to straight through is day 40. I’m not going to play football next semester either because I want to make P90x, trading, and school my only priorities. KISS style.
Fixed an issue with this blog not allowing me to upload videos larger than 8 Megs. Now I won’t have to deal with YouTube unless I really want to. Got a 3 mile run in too. Hopefully tomorrow is pretty good too. I’m going to Morrow’s Academy to get my kung fu on.

Welcome to Unshacked Mind! Today is my first video post as well as the day my poor beagle puppy, Grunt, was attacked by a neighbor’s dog. Here are some pictures of his new musketeer uniform.
